Our Story

Sofia and Lukas first met on a cold December day in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. Lukas had just moved from Florida to Sweden to reconnect with his roots and was waiting outside in the middle of winter in a thin jacket and no hat. Despite having a paper due the following day, Sofia chose to prioritize meeting a boy she had been writing with instead. Even from the very start, their conversations had a special spark, and it quickly became clear that their meeting was something special

One date led to another, taking in the sights, foods, and sounds of Stockholm, and eventually they moved in together. They started out in a tiny apartment in Fridhemsplan, before temporarily moving apart due to Lukas starting his studies in another town.  Soon enough they were able to reunite together in Malmö once Sofia found a job there. After two years in the Swedish south, they once again decided to move back to Stockholm where they first met and bought an apartment together in Bromma.

Throughout the years, they have been able to share much of their lives together such as introducting one another to their friends and family, visiting different places across the United States and Europe, cooking delicious food, celebrating holidays, watching horror movies and chick-flicks. As they have shared with each other, they grew ever more deeply in love.

Finally after seven years together, on a cold winter night overlooking Prague, Lukas finally decided to propose (and Sofia said yes!) and begin a whole new chapter of their lives together. With the coming years, they are hoping to build upon the experiences of the past and share many new experiences in the future.
